Coach Jake began swimming in the San Francisco Bay way back in 2001, an adult guppie, and has never looked back! He is an accomplished age grouper triathlete in over 60 various lengths and has 6 IRONMAN under his belt. In 2005, he began coaching and swim piloting for various SF Bay swims culminating in multiple events and swims. That experience toolbox includes certifications as a U.S. Masters Safety Director and U.S. Masters Open Water Referee, along with being a WOWSA certified Open Water Coach. Rounding out the experience, Jake has served as Lead Swim Pilot, Swim Director, and currently provides chase/powerboat experience. Coach Jake has had the privilege of leading swim expeditions in Cuba and the Galapagos Islands (Galapagos Challange Triathalon Swim Director) has swum in Chile’s Pacific Ocean and Lake Villarrica. World traveler indeed.
