BRIDGE TO BRIDGE

A 10k (6.2-mile) race with a new twist this year. We will be starting at the Bay bridge and swimming toward Golden Gate Bridge. A legendary event for elite swimmers looking for an endurance challenge!
bridgetobridge

Also known as the Waterfront 10k.  This race is a fan favorite and we are making it even better this year.  This year, we will be starting our swim at the Alpha Tower of the San Francisco Bay Bridge with an outgoing ebb tide.  As we swim West along the waterfront, you will see tourist attractions like the ferry building, the embarcadero, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square from an aspect that few get to experience. As we pass Ghirardelli Square and Aquatic Park the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific Ocean will come into view.  Our swim will end at the Beach at the West Bluff Picnic Area but the memories will last a lifetime.

YOUNG SWIMMERS

Participants under the age of 8 are not eligible to swim in this event.  Participants under 12-years of age must complete an evaluation with a San Francisco Swim coach at a Sunday morning or Thursday evening swim.  At the evaluation, it will be determined whether additional safety features are needed for the swimmer.  These features may include a personal “swim angel” or personal kayaker during the swim event.  For underage swimmers coming from outside of the area, a signed evaluation from their certified swim coach stating that they are capable of completing this swim (with or without close guidance) is acceptable.  If the underage swimmer is not approved for the swim, the registration fee will be refunded.

Contact us with any questions about younger swimmers.
